The Blessing of the Crops is an annual fish fry and oyster roast event presented by AgSouth Farm Credit and hosted by Barnwell Farmers Market and Southern Palmetto Regional Chamber, for agriculture producers and supporters to pray for a bountiful harvest and share in fellowship. This event supports programs at the Barnwell Farmers Market and Southern Palmetto Regional Chamber supporting local farmers, small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Tour
The Ag + Art Tour of Barnwell County is an annual, free, self-guided event that celebrates the rich agricultural heritage and vibrant artistic community of Barnwell County. Held over a weekend in June, this unique tour invites visitors to explore various farms, markets, and venues throughout the county, providing an immersive experience that highlights the importance of local food production and showcases the talents of regional artisans.

Volunteer at the Market
We need you! We’re always on the lookout for new volunteers. Barnwell Farmers Market values our volunteers as significant members of our team. If you share our love of local food and vibrant public spaces, join friends and neighbors through one of our many volunteer opportunities.
- Market Operations – help setup or breakdown the market pavilion, work in the market info booth, assist with kids programming, sell merchandise, help out our senior market customers
- Market Advisory Committee – join our committee to help organize and plan the market season each year.
- Blessing of the Crops Planning Committee – have a hand in planning our annual farm to table community fundraising event.
