Annual
Blessing of the Crops

The Blessing of the Crops is an annual outdoor dinner event presented by AgSouth Farm Credit and hosted by Barnwell Farmers Market and Southern Palmetto Regional Chamber for agriculture producers and supporters to pray for a bountiful harvest, recognize top individuals in the field, and discuss the latest trends in the agricultural sector. The event includes a fish fry and oyster roast, keynote speaker, and recognition of leaders in the industry. The event funds BFM programming as well as programming at the Southern Palmetto Regional Chamber supporting local small businesses and entrepreneurs.

The Ag + Art Tour of Barnwell County is an annual, free, self-guided event that celebrates the rich agricultural heritage and vibrant artistic community of Barnwell County. Held over a weekend in June, this unique tour invites visitors to explore various farms, markets, and venues throughout the county, where they can witness the intersection of agriculture and art. The tour provides an immersive experience that highlights the importance of local food production, showcases the talents of regional artisans, and offers a delightful array of musical performances.
